Well it finally happened. My girl got married. Now mind you she is an organized, brilliant, beautiful Italian girl, she had the officiant for the wedding even before she had the groom. Honestly. She had seen me perform a ceremony years prior and was determined that she would have me. Time passed, she found the man, they fell in love. She knew he was the one and he 'surprised' her with a ring and a promise. She said 'yes' and within a week she had the dress, the ring, the florist, the place, the caterers, the date, the cake and the minister. There is no stopping this woman when she gets going.
Being her minister meant attending the family functions, writing and performing the ceremony, coaching their vows, lining the bridal party up and working with the coordinator. Tiffany was amazing to work with, as she is amazing as a person. One of the benefits of having a wide circle of friends is that you have an amazing network of spies and thieves. Ministers, coordinators and photographers as well. My very first bride, the woman who started my ministry, Jen was the photographer. It was a pretty tremendous collaboration on many levels. The best part is, as the minister I was privy to little surprises like this one; an altar-side surprise photo.
